Becoming an effective recruiter often requires industry-specific knowledge that currently can only be accumulated over years on the job. By the virtue of this, junior recruiters face a steep learning curve before they are able to mix and match vacancies and candidates for combinations that benefit the employer. They need to learn a number of different skills, such as capturing CVs, creating shortlists, pre-screening, or interviewing candidates while keeping up with the ever-changing demands and standards of their industry.
