XING uses Textkernel’s job parsing technology in the new XING Talent Manager
Amsterdam, 20 September 2013
XING has switched to a new version of its XING Talent Manager. In this new release XING makes use of Textkernel’s job parsing technology. XING Talent Manager (XTM) allows recruiters to engage with 6.5 million members in the German-speaking region. The new XTM makes it possible for companies to find and approach candidates more efficiently, faster and easier than ever before.
When creating a new search project, recruiters can simply upload a job vacancy text instead of manually filling in the search fields. XING makes use of the job parsing technology by Textkernel, the Dutch specialist in semantic recruitment technology, to extract all relevant job information and pre-fill this in the requested fields. XING then automatically matches the extracted job information with its members and recommends members that suit that position.
“Textkernel is a very valuable partner to work with. Textkernel’s job parsing contributes a great deal to the XING Talent Manager and we also really enjoyed working with Textkernel. They are a reliable partner and we hope to collaborate again in the future”, says Jost Schatzmann, Director Product and Business Development at XING.
Earlier this year Textkernel also developed an ‘Apply with XING’-widget based on the API provided by XING. This allows companies to offer their candidates the option to apply for a job with their XING profile. Textkernel’s parsing software extracts the data from the XING profile and normalises it to the fields in the recruiting company’s database. This provides recruiters with complete and structured information to search through and offers candidates the extra service to apply with their XING profile.
