Candidates today do not want to struggle with lengthy online application forms and instead rely on their smartphones when searching for a job. “It’s absolutely necessary to systematically reduce the time and challenges during the application process,” explains Martin Jäger, CSO at Trenkwalder, in an interview with blogger Eva Zils.
To accommodate these new requirements, Trenkwalder scouted the market for a suitable solution and decided on Textkernel’s “Apply with” widget. Now, candidates can apply in just a few clicks using various mobile devices while Trenkwalder still receives a structured profile thanks to Textkernel’s CV parsing technology.
“The process is now faster, more customer-friendly and mobile-optimised. 30% of all candidates are currently already using the option of applying via their smartphone or tablet”
Mobile one-click application for a positive candidate experience
Trenkwalder has grown from a family-owned company to an international group with more than 55,000 employees and supports the professional development of both people and companies. “Trenkwalder is currently undergoing many changes: We are becoming more and more digital, analytical, technological and customer-oriented,” explains Michael Pries, Head of International Marketing at Trenkwalder. Initial results of this digital transformation are the new websites and an optimised and candidate-friendly application process.
An appealing layout and variety of application options
Textkernel’s “Apply with” widget with its CV parsing technology can be adapted to the customer-specific design and, therefore, quite easily be integrated into the online application process. In Trenkwalder’s case, candidates can simply decide on their preferred source and can choose whether they want to apply with a XING, LinkedIn or Facebook profile, a Word or PDF file from their local hard drive, Google Drive or Dropbox.
The result: A higher conversion rate and 30% mobile applications
Trenkwalder is one of the first personnel service providers in the German-speaking area to offer a one-click application process optimised for mobile devices. “The process is now faster, more customer-friendly and mobile-optimised. 30% of all candidates are currently already using the option of applying via their smartphone or tablet.”, explains Pries.
In the future, this process will be rolled out in all 17 countries in which Trenkwalder operates. Trenkwalder is also planning on offering the technology and option for a one-click application process to its customers. The processes are also being optimised at the backend: In the future, Trenkwalder will use the applicant management system of Textkernel’s partner Connexys.
