02. How to use AI responsibly in recruitment
AI is a powerful tool for recruiters. However, just like recruiters and people in general, AI systems can have biases unless the right measures are put in place. For example, an AI system that decides the relevance of candidates for a job could be developed from previous hiring decisions that have (unconscious) bias: e.g hiring data from recruiters that unconsciously prefer candidates from the same educational institution as them. Such an AI system could learn to favor candidates from this school, leading to biased and less diverse candidates, and disadvantage others on unjust grounds.
