This year the finale of the HR Innovation Slam 2013 took place during Zukunft Personal. Jakub Zavrel, CEO of Textkernel presented how Match! can innovate the world of recruiters.
Match! supports recruiters in the transition from ‘post and pray’ to actively sourcing and finding candidates. Textkernel’s matching software helps by automatically creating a search from a job vacancy text and immediately includes the right terms (including use of synonyms). The software not only searches the internal database, but can also search external databases for the most suitable candidates. This matching technology got Textkernel awarded the second place in the battle for most innovative product of 2013.
Not only Match! was popular at the show. Also the new version of Jobfeed, the labour market analysis tool for the German market was well received by the German audience. Jobfeed searches the web for jobs, structures the information and makes this searchable. What makes Jobfeed unique is that is does not only collects all jobs, it also deduplicates them. This makes Jobfeed not only interesting for mobility (job seekers receive unique vacancies), the tool is also valuable for recruiters and job boards who can see on which sites companies post their jobs.
At the show, Textkernel showed a preview of the new Jobfeed release with company matching. Jobfeed recognises a company in the job ad, assigns it to an industry and adds company information. This allows recruiters to also find organisations in Jobfeed by industry, or for example by company size. Besides that, the information will become available for labour market analysis. The Jobfeed data can be exported to Excel for making analyses on the job market. At Zukunft Personal, Jobfeed presented its analysis of the German job market on the first half of 2013.
A third highlight at the show was the introduction of the renewed XING Talent Manager. XING makes use of Textkernel’s job parsing. The parsing technology allows recruiters at the start of a new sourcing project to simply upload a job vacancy in .doc or .pdf, in stead of having to manually fill in all the search fields.
